Amy B Fee Owner MPT, ATC, OCS, CSCS

Amy B. Fee is a Licensed Physical Therapist (MPT), Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). She has also trained extensively in the Pilates method of conditioning, which she incorporates into her treatments to help get her patients back to optimal health.

Amy graduated from College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN, with a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) in 1999 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1994.

She has worked as an athletic trainer and physical therapist with high school, college, and professional level athletes, including College of St. Scholastica, University of Denver, Colorado Foxes professional soccer and is currently the Head Athletic Trainer and Physio for the Santa Monica Rugby Club, where she helped the Dolphins to a 2006 USA Rugby National Championship. Amy has also instructed for Denver Broncos Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation coaching seminars.

For more than 15 years, Amy has worked in orthopedics and sports medicine and is skilled in evaluation, management and prevention of injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, taping, and sport specific conditioning. She also has extensive training in orthopedic manual therapy, specializing in methods taught by Mulligan, Maitland, and McKenzie.

Amy has developed personalized programs ranging from rehabilitation of injuries to general health and wellness to sports specific performance enhancement. She has developed programs for youth through geriatric populations, and novice to elite athletes.

For the past 7 years, Amy has established herself as one of the most highly recommended practitioners in her field. Working with top Orthopedists, Neurologists, Rheumatologists and other specialty physicians throughout the Westside, she maintains the highest level of quality care in the treatment of her patients.

Amy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), including membership in Orthopedic, Sports, and Private Practice Special Interest Group Sections; California Physical Therapy Association (CPTA), American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (OMPT), National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), California Private Practice Special Interest Group (CPPSIG), Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI), Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), and Yoga Alliance (YA).

 Amy is currently working on incorporating breast cancer rehabilitation into her practice.  After watching those close to her recently go through their own fights for breast cancer (and win, by the way! J), she believes she can be of tremendous help to patients in regaining posture, strength, and self-confidence to get back into life through skills she possesses as a physical therapist.  

 

Dara Richman DPT, CSCS 

Since childhood, Dara Richman has been an active participant in various sports and dance programs.

In college, she began working at the John Wooden Center at UCLA as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor, obtaining certifications through AFAA in group exercise, step aerobics, cardio kickboxing and personal training.

Dara graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007. She attended Florida Atlantic University on full scholarship, where she earned her Master’s degree in Exercise Science, and her undergraduate career was spent at UCLA, where she earned a BA in World Arts and Cultures.

Dara enjoys working with athletes of all levels, and analyzing gait/running mechanics, often using fundamental ideals of multi-planar movement and loading as taught by various functional training notables such as Gary Grey and Gray Cook. Dara utilizes manual therapy skills in her treatments, with a strong Matiland/Mulligan approach as well as a movement science approach with a strong basis on the Shirley Sahrmann method of movement impairment and the Janda Approach to musculoskeletal imbalances.

Dara has also continued to work as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor and obtained her Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credentials.  Dara has also worked as a personal trainer at many of the health clubs in Los Angeles, including Equinox, LA Fitness, UCLA, Spectrum Club, and a number of others.

In addition to her work in Los Angeles, Dara has worked in Florida as a fitness instructor and assistant for various exercise science departments. While there, she helped with fitness, aerobic and VO2max testing for various professional sports teams including the Florida Panthers.
 
She continues to teach fitness classes in her spare time at various health clubs in LA as well as training and competing in triathlons and participating in road cycling, mountain biking, and cyclocross.

Dara has a strong passion for the sport of triathlon and is consistently continuing her education in the hopes of also getting her ATC in the future. She has taken numerous con-ed courses as they relate to sport specific training, kinesiotaping, athletic taping, and manual therapy techniques.

Dara is a member of the  American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Ortho section, LATriClub, Triathletix cycling team, and National strength and conditioning (NSCA) member , American fitness association of America (AFAA).
